Make Your Own Planner Stickers!

Hi! Suzanne here with some inspiration to add Lawn Fawn stamps to your planner pages! I made some mini circle stickers with some of the smaller images in several of my Lawn Fawn sets. Here's a look at the stickers on a page in my planner:

I stamped a bunch of smaller images on some label paper the first time around. It didn't work as well as I had hoped because once I punched the final versions from the paper, it was very hard to remove the backing so they would stick to the planner pages. The images on this sheet are from "Critters at the Dog Park", "Party Animal" and "Love You A Latte".

I recommend using some light weight card stock instead of the sticker paper (unless you have some sticky paper with easy-to-remove backing) and run the punched pieces through a sticker maker. 

I also stamped some of the faces from the "Sweet Smiles" stamp set to make emoji-type stickers. Unfortunately, I don't have Lawn Fawn's planner sets yet, so I used the sets I already have. (The planner sets would be perfect for this project, though, and I hope to make more stickers when I get those sets!)

I made my own circle template so I could pick images that would fit in a 1/2" sized circle punch. It also came in handy when I colored the images. The template is just a strip of kraft cardstock with a circle punched in one end.

I hope I've inspired you to take another look at your well-loved Lawn Fawn sets and make some stickers of your own!

Jellyfish Greetings

Good morning! Roxanne here today with honestly one of my favorite cards I've created recently. I don't say that often, but I just love this one. I just bought this set and I couldn't wait to use it. I love the little jellyfish so much. Let's get started!

I knew I wanted to use my jellyfish image from the So Jelly set, so I started off by creating my blue water background. I used several inks and sponges and blended it until it was the color I desired. Seriously, my blue fingers and thumb for a day were totally worth the result!

Now, I actually made a bit of a mistake which turned out to be a neat look since this is a water scene after all. My ink that I had blended wasn't quite dry when I stamped on the bubbles from the same set in Versamark. I applied my white embossing powder and some of the powder around the bubbles actually stuck to the damp ink blended background as you can see. I didn't bother trying to wipe it off because I loved the way that looked! I heat embossed away and as you can see, it looks like some smaller bubbles. I like when a mistake turns out to look intentional! Just a tip...make sure your ink blended background is dry BEFORE you apply your embossing powder. Or, use that look to your advantage like I did.

For my jellyfish, I stamped 3 of them onto my premium white cardstock (all products used listed at the bottom of the blog post) in Tuxedo Black ink and I colored them each a slightly different color using my Spectrum Noir Markers and trimmed them out by hand. I added a light gray outline around them and left just a hair of white around that when trimming them out.

The sentiment is from the Love You A Latte set and I stamped that onto white cardstock I cut using the Stitched Labels Lawn Cuts. I added a simple rhinestone pearl to the dot of the "i".

To make that blue background I worked so hard to blend pop off the card, I decided to use an embossed black panel behind it. The panel looks like bubbles reminiscent of the water bubbles, so I thought it was perfect.

I have a simple white cardstock card base trimmed and scored to 4.25x5.5. I then adhered the embossed blak panel to the card base.

I stuck the jellyfish on with some more foam adhesive, leaving one off the edge of the blended panel. I flicked on some white Mister Huey's Color Mist all over to look like more bubbles under the water. I grabbed some white and turquoise twine and wrapped that around the bottom of the card three times and stuck my sentiment label on top of that off to the left with some foam adhesive. Then I used more foam adhesive to adhere my water background to the black.

And there you have it! A sweet little card filled with adorable little jellyfish! Thanks for checkout my project this month and I'll see you again next month. Happy crafting.

Coffee Themed Card with the Stinkin Cute Mini Set

Hello crafty friends! It's Jess and today I have a card inspired by the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop which Lawn Fawn is sponsoring. I combined the brand new Stinkin Cute mini set with the Love You a Latte set. I know the coffee cup is huge for my little critter but I also think that makes it extra funny. I added a bit of detail with the stitched border dies and  all the paper is from Lawn Fawn as well.

Warm Wishes To You

Hello everyone..

Lexa here today with a Christmas card for this season. Let's get started!

I made this background using Argyle Backdrops in Lobster and Walnut, and it looks so pretty! I love how it turns. Then decided to take the color scheme for the rest of the card.

I started with a tag, watercolored the background and colored the border, then stamp the "warm wishes" sentiment with Lawn Fawn Walnut Dye Ink. I tied a single cord twine in red and white for an extra cuteness. ;)

The gingerbreads are from Sweet Christmas set, colored them with my Distress Ink Markers and diecut them. I set a glass of warm chocolate from Love You A Latte between them in mint color. At last, I think a border on the left side will be nice, so I die cut a brown cardstock with my medium size scalloped border, and red fish tail banner with some peppermint sweets stamped in it.

A cup of fall inspiration!

Hi, everybody! Happy Friday! Suzanne here with a new card that's inspired by a familiar coffee cup you may have seen around this fall. Here's an example of the design:

Several of my crafting friends have made cards lately with an extra paper cup like this one, but I always seem to put mine in the recycle bin before I think to save it for crafting!

So, I took out my Lawn Fawn stamp sets to see what stamps I could use to make a similar design, and this is what I came up with:

I've posted a list of all the stamp sets that I used on my blog, but I used the Love You A Latte set for the sentiment and coffee cup on the piece of kraft card stock. The bigger leaves are from the retired Harvest Season set, but there are leaves in other Lawn Fawn sets that you could use if you don't have that one.

Combining Two Stamp Sets

Hi everyone! It's Marina! I thought a lot about this post and I always love to try to include a technique to share but today, I was looking through my stamp stash and I wanted to combine two stamp sets together because I feel that this is a way I could stretch the use of my sets.

I began by choosing these two sets. Hello Sunshine & Love You A Latte.

I used various inks to stamp out the heart and circle balloons. I've also cut them out and left a thin white border around it with my scissors.

On a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, I've stamped the mug and using a post-it as a masking paper, I took the balloon strings and stamp over the cup. I wanted to have balloons coming out of the cup. 

I've layered the top portion with a paper from the Let's Polka paper pack.

Fresh takes on some Lawn Fawn favorites!

Hi, Suzanne from the Facebook Inspiration Team (FIT) here to share some cards that will make you take a fresh look at your Lawn Fawn stamps!

For the January FIT blog hop, I posted this card. I made the waves with the big pattern stamp from Woodgrain Backdrops. Since I was so happy with this card, I was inspired to take another look at my Lawn Fawn stamps to see what new combos I could create!

This card uses the double popsicle from Here's the Scoop. Since the face on the popsicle is in the middle of the image, I cut it in half to make two smaller popsicles for a quick love-themed card.

Here's another sweet treat: I used the outline ice cream stamp from Here's the Scoop to make a popcorn-themed hello card!

So how did I make the popcorn box? I stamped the chopstick from Let's Roll five times, and colored each chopstick red. I cut the box from the card stock, adhered it to the card and added a little shading with one of my markers. (The faces on the kernels are from Milk And Cookies and Love You A Latte.)

Creating Your Own Patterned Paper

Hi everyone! Thanks for coming by to Lawnscaping Challenge blog. It's me, Marina, here again to share with you my last individual post of the year. But there will be a few more Lawnscaping Challenges for the year so catch me and my teammate over at the Lawnscaping Facebook Page.

I'm featuring the Love You a Latte stamp set, the stitched rectangle die and stitched journaling card die by Lawn Fawn. I will show you how to make your own patterned paper.

You can always stamp your choice of images individually but to save time, you can always arrange the images you'd like to use and stick it to your stamping block like I did, in the photo below.

As you can see, we those four images pre-mounted on my block, I can just go on and stamp them repeatedly around the front of my card. I love to stamp some of the parts off the page so that it will look like it's continuous and I've just cut down from a bigger piece of patterned paper.

Don't worry about those empty space because you can take those images individually and fill up the empty space or, you can take those tiny images in the stamp set to fill up the space.

This is my finished card :)

Two Cards Using Mirror Stamping

Hi everyone! Thanks for coming by to Lawnscaping Challenge blog. It's me, Marina, here again to share with you not one but two cards :) I am a huge fan of stretch my stamps and I have shown you how you can turn your christmas stamp set to a non-christmas card, vice versa. Today, I'm going to show you how you can stretch the image in your stamp set.

I'm featuring the cutest cup in the Love You a Latte stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I will show you how to make a mirror image of out the cup so that it's facing each other.

First, you have, of course, choose the stamp image that you want to "mirror" then choose another stamp that is bigger than your choice of image. I used this flower image. I stuck my flower image to my block but the other way. Meaning, the flat side (the non-stamping) will be facing up. You can see it in the image below.

Next, I stamped my mug on to the flat side of the flower stamp. You have to take note that it will feel "slippery" so do not press too hard. 

And lastly, I stamp it on my paper and you will have a mirror image of your stamp. 

 As you can see below, it did not give me a perfect crisp stamped image but I can always go around it with a thin black marker/pen :)

These are two cards I've made using this technique.

Sweet Wishes from the Hedgehugs

Hi Lawnscapers, Roxanne here! I've got a cute little card today that I made for a bridal shower I attend this past weekend. She has a HUGE heart for animals, so I chose the adorable new Lawn Fawn set, Hedgehugs for this card. I LOVE it.

And here is the card:

I inked up the two hedgehogs and stamped them with Memento in Tuxedo Black onto my white card stock I used for coloring. I then stamped all those little hearts as well from the same Hedgehugs set. I colored them in using my Spectrum Noir Markers. I added the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Milk & Cookies set in St. Valetine from my Staz-On Midi ink pad. I took my black Spica pen and added a glittery black dot over the "i" in wishes and on their little noses. The cheeks on the hedgehogs were colored in with my Spectrum Noir Blendable Colored Pencils. Adds just a sweet little element to the love for this card.

I cut that out in a large rectangle and adhered that to my kraft base. I then took the heart paper from the Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather 6x6 Paper Pad and cut those into strips and used them on the top and bottom of the card. I added a row of large pearls and the front is complete!

Now I did something special on the inside of the card. Since I was giving the couple cash for a gift, I don't like just sticking that into the card because when you open a card, it ALWAYS falls out. I decided to make a little pocket to hold the money. So simple and I think I'm doing this all the time for anything I give cash, check or a gift card. You can get creative too with how you present that inside the card! This was just a quick and fun way to do this.

I took the same kraft card stock as my base and cut it to the width of the card (4.25"). I then cut it to 3" tall and took a circle punch and punched out a half circle in the center so that it's easy to snag the money out of there. Plus, it's cute! I used the For You sentiment from the Lawn Fawn, Love You a Latte set and inked it up with Memento, Tuxedo Black and added the little heart in the St. Valentine/Staz-On red from that set as well. 

PHOTOSHOP TIP: I found this out while editing the images for this post. I took another photo of the pocket straight on with the cash sticking out of it just like this, but Photoshop wouldn't let me edit it! There was a pop-up window that appeared saying that it could not be used because the image featured a banknote. So a tip to you if you're photographing something like this, take it on an angle or my husband suggested using Monopoly money. Ha! Just be sure to swap it out before giving the card ;) 

Upcycled gift box tin!

Back to school latte

Hello, it's Sabine from the FIT. School just started on monday for my girls, and I made little caffe latte back to school gifts for the teachers to make it through the first day ;)

Of course I used the perfect set for that: Love you a Latte!
