Hello Lawnscaping friends!!

How are you all doing on this first Saturday of July? I'm having Summer break right now! wohoo!!! Almost melting ... really hot weather these last couple of days. 
It would be awesome to be at a beach ... bit of sand, sun and some wind.
That was my inspiration for this card ... .


Here's my card ... 

It's a shaker card ... with some real (decoration) sand! :)

Hello Sunshine!

Hello and good morning!! Angel here with my very first blog post as a FIT design team member and I could not be more excited!!! I have been on a mini vacation with my mom, boys, sisters, nieces and nephew for the past few days. It was a blast but now it's back to reality and being crafty! 

I am sharing a bright and cheerful card today with a set that is older to Lawn Fawn but newer to me. 

I started out with white card stock cut to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 to make a top folding card. I stamped the small heart using Versafine black onyx ink around the outer edges. Next I used a large rectangle stackable die to cut a piece of vellum the exact side of the card a place over the hearts to mute them a little. I used a different sized rectangle stackable to die cut a sunflower notecard and then an even smaller rectangle stackable to die cut a piece of white card stock. 

The white piece is popped up on the card using fun foam for some added dimension. I stamped the sun using Sunflower ink pad to match the yellow notecard. I just love how it ties in well with each other. I used the hello die cut to cut out the word four times and glue together to give lots of dimension. 

I stamped the word 'sunshine' in Versafine black onyx ink and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder to give it a glossy look. I stamped the bird on a scrap piece of the yellow notecard and fussy cut it out. Next I stamped the bird on the white piece (while holding my breath not to mess it up) and then glued the bird on top to make it look like it was standing on the word die. 

I finished off the card by using my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen over the sun and the hello word die for a little bling. I then added some sparkling clear sequins for even more bling. I just don't know when to stop sometimes but empty space tends to freak me out at times.

Combining Two Stamp Sets

Hi everyone! It's Marina! I thought a lot about this post and I always love to try to include a technique to share but today, I was looking through my stamp stash and I wanted to combine two stamp sets together because I feel that this is a way I could stretch the use of my sets.

I began by choosing these two sets. Hello Sunshine & Love You A Latte.

I used various inks to stamp out the heart and circle balloons. I've also cut them out and left a thin white border around it with my scissors.

On a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, I've stamped the mug and using a post-it as a masking paper, I took the balloon strings and stamp over the cup. I wanted to have balloons coming out of the cup. 

I've layered the top portion with a paper from the Let's Polka paper pack.

Birthday Card & Gift Topper

Hi everyone! It's Yuki here with a super fun birthday card and coordinating gift topper. I made these for our dear friends who recently celebrated their son Connor’s first birthday. Our friends have a super cute pet Boxer and I thought it would be so fun to have the Boxer from the “Critters at the Dog Park” set holding a birthday balloon.

I started off by die cutting the background panel using the A2-sized stitched rectangle die. I used “Harold’s ABCs” to spell out “happy birthday” and white heat embossed the sentiment directly onto the background. I then masked off the stitched edges and the clouds from the “Hello Sunshine” set and colored the sky using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I stamped the dotted clouds slightly off-set with a matching blue pigment ink. I then stamped the sun in a yellow pigment ink and inlaid it onto the background panel. I used one of the “Stitched Hillside Border” dies to cut a hill and colored the hill using Shabby Shutters Distress Ink. To complete my sentiment, I stamped the balloon from the “Hello Sunshine” set in blue dye ink and then white heat embossed the “1st” from “Harold’s ABCs” directly onto the balloon. I then colored the Boxer, tennis ball and bone using Copic Markers. To finish the card, I attached some yellow twine to the balloon and tucked it behind the Boxer’s paws.

Instead of a gift tag, I thought it would be a cute idea to make a custom gift topper that my friends could keep and display. To create the gift topper, I die cut Connor’s name using “Finley’s ABCs” from white cardstock and white craft foam. For the O’s, I die cut the balloon from “Hello Sunshine” out of green cardstock and then added some highlights to the balloons using my white gel pen. I colored two of the little birds from the same set using Copic Markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies and also cut them out from white craft foam. I adhered the die cut pieces onto a panel of pattern paper from the “Let’s Polka” 6x6 Paper Pack I had die cut using one of the large stitched rectangle dies. To anchor the balloons, I attached some “Cloudy” Lawn Trimmings behind the balloons and tucked the twine behind the focal panel. To finish the gift topper, I matted my focal panel onto some yellow cardstock I had die cut from one of the larger stitched rectangle dies.


I really love how the card and gift topper turned out and my friends totally loved it too! Hi There - featuring Our Friendship Grows

Hello everyone!! Kari back with you to share more on my card that I made for our newest challenge that just went up yesterday!!  We are doing a summer color combo - so one of my favorites that I thought would fit the bill is Our Friendship Grows.

I first die cut all of my frame pieces from the Hello, Sunshine 6x6 - still one of my favorite paper pads!  So happy I have a backup of this one! Then, I worked on my sunflower.  I stamped it out in Memento Tuxedo Black as I used Copic Markers to color it in.  I only used 3 colors still sticking with our color combo challenge but wanting to add definition.  I am no where near an expert when it comes to coloring with Copics - but that is just it...these markers make an amateur like me look pretty decent in my opinion.  Once I was finished coloring in my sunflower, I used the coordinating die to cut it out ( thank goodness there are dies for this set!).  I prepared my card base which is the Simon Says Stamp 120 Ultra thick white card stock and I adhered my "Hello, Sunshine" scalloped piece straight down onto my card base and then I stamped my sentiment that comes from the Simon Says Stamp Stripe Greetings set and then added some Lawn Trimmings to my blue piece and then added some foam adhesive and adhered that piece down onto my card, and then added my sunflower also with foam adhesive.  For a final touch, I added some Wink of Stella ( the clear is my favorite) and some Glossy Accents.  These two together are so fun!!

Mini handmade notebook ...

Today, I would like to share a mini handmade notebook that I made.
I used looooots of Lawn Fawn products... of course :) :) :) 

This mini notebook is made with a Fawndamentals "wild rose" notecard
and for the inside I used plain computer paper.
The little notebook is perfect when you need a quick, small gift.
You can add as many embellies as you like or keep it CAS ...
totally up to you!!

Quick and easy shaped cards!!

In this post I would like to share some quick and easy shaped cards.
A bit of copic coloring, but not much, some patterned papers and some
dies ... and you're set! :) 

I used the new "Hello sunshine" stamps and papers and the fun "Hello" die!
I die cut the patterned papers and some white cardstock (for the back of the card).
Then I cut the "hello" and stamped the little duckies, the cloud and sun! 
A bit of coloring ... and then I put everything on the patterned papers and 
moved things around for a bit ... :)

Post-it Note Holders using Plastic Frames

Hello everyone!  Kari from the Inspiration Team back with you to share a fun project!  You can get really creative with making these Post-it notes holders.

These are made from inexpensive plastic frames that you just slip a picture in on the side.  Instead of using the frame of how it was intended when standing up, the base of the frame is at the top when laid flat.

One is a 4x6 frame and the other is a 3.5x5 frame.  I just cut my pattern paper to size and slip it inside the frame like I would a picture. And, then the fun begins with decorating it how ever you choose.  I chose for my 4x6 frame papers from the Dewey Decimal 6x6 paper pad.  I also chose the stamp set Science of Love.  

I adhered my Post-it notes to my frame with regular adhesive( I use PLUS adhesive).  I, then cut down a piece of Audrey Blue card stock from SSS and I used the Scalloped Stitched Border Dies, to give my card stock a bit of decoration.  I, then stamped out my sentiment from the same stamp set in HA Cup O' Joe ink. I also added some Coral Lawn Trimmings.

For my smaller frame - I did basically the same thing, except for my papers I used the Hello Sunshine 6x6 paper pad, and I used the Speech Bubble Border die as well as the Scripty Hello die.  I added some shimmer using the Wink of Stella Clear Brush Marker, and added faux stitching around the speech bubble die cut to make it stand out.

These would make fun gifts for teachers, friends, co-workers, or just because for anyone! They are easy to make and you could get your kids in on the fun!!
