I Wheelie Like You

Hi there!  Audrey here with a fun watercolor card for you!  I love making mini card sometimes, because the change in "canvas size" is refreshing to me.  I often make mini cards when I want a smaller stamp set to be the star of the show.

For this card, I started off by creating a watercolor background for my little scene.  When it was dry, I diecut it with one of the Small Stitched Rectangles Stackables die set.  I stamped, colored and diecut the cute little hamster and wheel from the Wheelie Like You stamp set.  I wanted a pair of hamsters, so I stamped and colored two of them.  I used a snippet of Perfectly Plaid patterned paper to ground my scene, and then popped the hamsters and wheel up using foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set just above the images, then mounted the panel on a white card base, and added a twine bow to the top of the card to finish it off.

That's all for me today!  Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

I Wheelie Like You By Christy

Hey everyone, it's Christy here with another card for our current challenge: Watercoloring! I was super excited that my feature fell during this one, because I adore watercoloring, and I just can't seem to get enough of it. Especially when there are so many awesome mediums out there to try. Today I wanted to play with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I've had them less than a month, so I'm still learning their unique properties and just having fun experimenting with them. And since I'm still in the middle of my 2016 Valentine Card Series on YouTube, I knew I wanted it to be a valentine card as well. So I pulled out the adorable Wheelie Like You stamp set by Lawn Fawn, and this little cutie was the result. I colored him to look like our guinea pig Cosmo, who passed away of old age last year. But I couldn't leave out his brother Sprocket, who is still thankfully with us, so at the end of the video I show you an additional card  that was colored to look like him. I hope you enjoy it.

If you're feeling inspired to create a card for our Watercoloring Challenge, you still have today to play along! I hope to see your project there! Have an awesome day!

I Wheelie Like You

Hi everyone! It's Yuki here. Today I have super cute card featuring a newer set by Lawn Fawn called "Wheelie Like You." This adorable mini set has been sitting on my desk since it released and I finally had the chance to use it.

Lawnscaping Challenge: "I Wheelie Like You" by Handmade by Yuki | "Wheelie Like You" & "Flirty Frames" by Lawn Fawn

I used one one of the "Flirty Frames" to frame my scene. In order to have the hamsters facing each other, I mirror stamped the hamster on the right. I masked the images and created a sunset using "Wild Honey" and "Broken China" distress inks. I then stamped the little heart and colored the images using Copic Markers. I cut the frame using the coordinating die. I cut one of the 4-bar "Walnut" notecards in half for the backdrop and used pattern paper from the "Let's Polka: Mon Amie" 6x6 paper pack for the background. I die cut the edges of a white card base using a stitched scalloped die. I stamped the sentiment onto a banner strip and popped it onto the card using foam tape. I added some Pretty Pink Posh sequins as a finishing touch.

These little hamsters are just so cute and I love how my card turned out. I hope you liked today's card and thanks again for stopping by! Watercolor Wheelie Like You

Hey there!  Audrey here with a fun card to share with you!  I am still loving the watercolor trend and I hope it never goes out of style!  I seem to be reaching for my watercolors on every other project!

I started off with a piece Let's Polka Mon Amie 6x6 patterned paper and I die cut it with the largest of the Small Stitched Rectangles.  Then I angled a piece of Tim Holtz Distress watercolor paper, and trimmed around the edges so that it lined up with the edge of the rectangle.  I watercolored in shades of pink and coral using Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral Distress Inks (LOVE this combo), and then stamped, colored and diecut the adorable little hamster and wheel from the Wheelie Like You stamp set. To ground the little scene, I used the banner from the Stitched Journaling Card die set and stamped the sentiment below the banner.  I popped the banner, wheel and hamster up on foam tape, and then after I adhered the patterned paper to a card base, I popped the finished panel up with foam tape.

Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by!! :)
