Congratulations with Christy

Hello everyone, it's Christy here with another version of dino card I made previously for our Celebration Challenge. I've found that by stamping and coloring a few extra images, I can make TWO cards instead of just one, with very little extra time.

I used the super fun Critters From The Past colored with Copics, and set my scene with the Grassy and Hillside Borders, borrowing the clouds from Blue Skies. I had a mountain die that I added to the mix, but you could easily cut these out by hand. To keep my sentiment versatile, I grabbed the brand-new Ready, Set, Shake set so the card can be given for any occasion to celebrate!

I hope you enjoyed my card! You still have a few hours to play in our challenge if you haven't already. I hope to see your project there!

Colorful Veggies!

Hi everyone! It's Elise here to share a fun and colorful card with you that features the new "Rooting For You" stamp set and die!

I wanted to make the veggies super colorful so I used a variety of inks for this card including Lawn Fawn's "Mermaid," "Wild Rose," "Cranberry," "Fish Tank," "Freshly Cut Grass," and "Sugarplum", as well as Hero Arts "Butter Bar" and "Orange Soda" inks.

I used a light blue and kraft card stock for the sky and ground. I also used the "Stitched Hillside Border" dies for the ground. Since my card is longer than hillside die (the card is about 8 inches long and the dies are only 6 inches), I had to cut half of the hillside, move the die so that it lined up with the first cut, and cut it again. I didn't line it up perfectly, but you can't tell because I hid it behind one of the veggies! :)

I also used the new "Everyday Sentiment Banners" to highlight the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by to check out this colorful veggie card! I hope that you have a great day! :)

Thinking About You!

Good morning!  Jess here to share a super sparkly card!  My card fits with our current challenge, Thinking Of You!

I recently purchased Winter Penguin and thought he'd look fabulous skating along an icy winter scene!
To create my card I swiped distress inks in Wild Honey, Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, and Seedless Preserves across a piece of white cardstock.  Then I swiped Black Soot distress ink around the colors and carefully swiped the edge of the pad between and over the colors to create a northern lights effect.  I let it dry completely and then I covered the cardstock with versamark and poured holographic embossing glitter over the panel.  I tapped off the excess and heat embossed it to create that super glittery background!

Next I stamped my penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored him with copics and fussy cut him!  I cut the snowy hill with white cardstock and heat-embossed the sentiment from Scripty Sayings with silver embossing powder.  I popped up my penguin with foam tape and adhered the hill to my glittery background.  I wanted it to look like my penguin had scraped the sentiment into the ice with his little skates! :)

I encourage you to play along with a card using hope, love, encouragement, or thinking of you as your theme!  For more inspiration check out the current entries in the challenge...there are some fabulous cards there!

Let it Snow with Audrey

Hi there!  Audrey here with a rustic winter card to share with you!  I love kraft cardstock for winter cards because it really shows off the snow!   I started off using the Small Stitched Rectangles dies and cut the largest rectangle in the set from both kraft and white cardstock.  Then, I used the Snowy Backdrops die to add snow to the kraft rectangle diecut, and backed it with the white rectangle diecut.  The rectangles were a bit longer than I wanted, so I trimmed about an inch off of the bottom, and used the Stitched Hillside Borders die and Forest Border die to create a ground for my little snowman to stand on.  I stamped, colored and diecut the snowmen, their accessories, and the little birds from the Making Frosty Friends stamp set and then popped them up on the hills with some foam tape. I also adhered the panel up on a kraft card base with more foam tape. I stamped a sentiment from the Snowy Backdrops stamp set onto a strip of kraft cardstock using Versamark ink, and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I hand cut flag ends on the banner, and popped it up with, you guessed it... foam tape.  I finished the card off with a bow using some jute twine.

Let it Snow

I hope you like it!  Thanks so much for stopping by! :)
