Watercolor Art Journaling with Altered Lawn Fawn Stamps

Hello crafty friends! It's Jess and today I have an art journal page featuring Lawn Fawn's Sweet Smiles and Color My World stamp sets. My art journal is a collection of quotes with accompanying art. I have a dedicated Pinterest board for quotes and for today's handletting I was inspired by this piece. For more on how I created this page and my thoughts on this quotes check out my video.

I've known I wanted to tackle this quote for awhile because it has layers of meaning for me but I wanted the overall effect to stay positive so I decided using adorable Lawn Fawn stamps and bright rainbow colors would help. I used a lot of masking to get these partial crayon bits and all the different faces from Sweet Smiles helped reinforce the thoughts behind this page. I've really enjoyed finding a way to make art journaling work for my style and with the stamps that I love.

You Color My World Rainbow Card

Hello everybody! Heidi here, I'm super excited to share with you my first post, as part of the Lawnscaping Challenge Facebook Inspiration Team!
We are currently having our Lawnscaping Challenge No. 110 "Color Inspired by the Rainbow" so I thought challenge was a perfect opportunity to play with sequins. back in July I made a card using a large number of affixed sequins, such as in this card, it is very fun and entertaining!
This challenge it's all about bright pretty colors, you still have time to enter, so get your favorite color markers, watercolors, or even sequins and join us! You can enter the challenge HERE

I created this card using the "Critters Ever After" the clouds border dies by Lawn Fawn and some awesome colorful sequins.

The sentiment for this card is from the "You color my world" mini stamp set by Lawn Fawn

I did some simple coloring with Copic markers on the unicorn, not much blending at all. and I adhered the panel to a white note card created with heavy weight white cardstock.

I hope you've enjoyed this card, and that you got inspired to join us on our current challenge, have a wonderful day!

You Color My World

Hello there!  Happy Tuesday to you!  Audrey here! Today I have a fun card to share with you using the limited edition You Color My World stamp set that was offered a few months ago with a purchase from the Lawn Fawn store.  I used a watercolor "smooshing" technique that I've fallen in love with!

You Color My World

I smooched several colors of ink onto a sheet of acetate and spritzed it heavily with water and pressed some watercolor paper into the ink puddles.  Then I let it air dry and die cut the panel with the Stitched Rectangles dies.  I stamped the sentiment where I wanted it first, and then stamped, colored and cut out the cute little crayons.  Once I added them to the card, there was still something missing, so I pulled out my Bugs and Kisses stamp set and used the heart flight trail to add a bit more to my card. I mounted the panel on a black card base.

This is such a fun technique... I'll be doing it lots more I'm sure.  Hope you like!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)
