No Need to Color Stamped Images?!?!

Hi! Chrissie here! And yes - you read that title right! There is no need to color stamped images!!!

As much as I looovveee to color, sometimes I like to try to think out of the box and create things that are a bit different than my normal style.  So, I created a card that requires no coloring of objects what-so-ever!

I stamped all of the images from the Life is Good set in gray ink and die cut them out with the coordinating Lawn Cuts.

Then, on the base of the card, I added some distress inks (Broken China and Squeezed Lemonade).  I wanted to keep the background nice and soft to highlight the white images.

I simply die cut a frame and placed it over the base, then added the images.

Let's Get Beachy!

Chrissie here! I wanted to pop in and share a card I made that has me dreaming of the beach! I heat embossed images from Life is Good and then colored them in with watercolor markers.

I also used the coordinating Lawn Cut for the shells!

To emulate the ocean, I heat embossed the sentiment in white, too, and then added a wash of blue so it popped out!

Hello sunshine ... a shaker card!

Hello Lawnscaping friends!!

How are you all doing on this first Saturday of July? I'm having Summer break right now! wohoo!!! Almost melting ... really hot weather these last couple of days. 
It would be awesome to be at a beach ... bit of sand, sun and some wind.
That was my inspiration for this card ... .

It's a shaker card ... with some real (decoration) sand! :)

Beach Theme Card In a Box

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to share my card in a box project. I lova making card in a box with Lawn Fawn stamp sets, because it's so versatile and just the perfect size for this project.

I used Life is Good stamp set from Lawn Fawn to make a beach themed birthday card. The stiched hills as sand dunes..it's just so fun to make.

For everyone who haven't made one, just search the tutorial on Youtube and you'll see how easy it is.. 

And this is how it looks when it's flat.

2015 Desktop Calendar

Hi everyone! It's Yuki here with my first blog post on the Lawnscaping blog :). One of my favorite things about the end of the year is buying new calendars for the following year. This year instead of buying a calendar, I decided to make my own desktop calendar to give as a gift.

I reused an old CD calendar case I had from a previous year as my calendar stand. For the dates, I used a calendar stamp set I had purchased specifically with this project in mind. However, you could also use calendar stickers, printables or even write the dates by hand. I found the stamp to be the most versatile and convenient since you can stamp it in different colors and even heat emboss it. I decided to make each month unique and tried to  highlight key dates such as holidays and even my friend's birthday.

Since I used a TON of different products (too many to list), I listed the Lawn Fawn products used for each month under the photo captions.

Crabby Card

Hey everyone, Samantha here with a fun summertime card inspired by the latest Lawnscaping watercoloring challenge. If you haven't made a project already for this challenge, you definitely need to! There are so many different products and watercoloring techniques, you are bound to have fun making your project. I put Distress Inks on an acrylic block, and then applied the ink to my paint brush that was saturated in water.

I love the Lawn Fawn "Life is Good" stamp set, there are tons of different beach items that allow you to build a perfect scene. The crab is so adorable, and he fits perfectly into the hammock. I thought it would be fun to place him in the hammock with his legs dangling off the side. The clouds, from the "Into the Woods" stamp set, were stamped in white ink on top of the watercolored sunset sky. I tied "Pink Lemonade Single Cord" around the bottom of the frame from the "Say Cheese" stamp set.

Flip-it Card ( You Brighten My Life)

Hey fans of Lawnscaping! Kari back with you to share another project with you.  Today, I have a flip it card for you!  Now - I am not about to tell you that I cut my card stock certain ways, and different increments of scoring - This is all done with a Sizzix die set - QUICK and EASY!  That's how I like it!

I also wanted to ink up some of my new Lawn Fawns sets I recently received from the new release!  This time I inked up Life is Good.

I also used papers from the "Lets Polka" 6x6 pad as well as the Rain Showers Lawn Cuts.

I didn't get a good pic of it but I also added some Wink of Stella to my sun and the sea gulls :)

I stamped out in Memento Tuxedo Black ink the sentiment "You Brighten My Life".  It is a fun interactive card  that will have the recipient asking "How'd you do that?"  :)
