Happy Belated Birthday!

Good morning!  Jess here with a belated birthday card!  I'm always bad about sending out birthday cards on time so I always try to have a stack of belated birthday cards for the inevitable late card!

I've owned the Year Two stamp set from Lawn Fawn for years now but had never used it until this week.  Now that I see how absolutely adorable it is I will definitely be using it again soon!  I also had another revelation during this crafting session...I need the Party Ballon dies!  Can you tell what I used to create my faux balloons?

To start off, I used distress inks in Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, and Chipped Sapphire to create a smooshed watercolor background.  While that was drying I stamped my turtles from Year Two and colored them with copics before fussy-cutting them.  Next I die-cut the round stitched tag dies and cut off the bottom of each die to create my "balloon."  I colored them with copics and then stamped the sentiment inside.  To finish the card I tied black twine bows to each balloon and used more twine and foam mounting tape to adhere the turtles and balloons to the watercolored background.

Thanks so much for visiting today and don't forget to enter our current challenge: Winter Wonderland!  You have until Wednesday, January 13th to enter!  Click here for more details!
Have a fantastic Monday!

Fun Christmas Tags!

Happy Tuesday Lawnscapers! Kim with you this morning and this is my last post as a FIT Team member, I can't believe how fast these six months have gone by! I have had such fun participating with a wonderful group of ladies! A big thanks goes to Laurel and Chrissie, I have thoroughly enjoyed every minute!  For my post, I thought that another tag project would be appropriate to go along with the current challenge and I, probably, like most of you am producing tags like crazy for Christmas.

I am currently obsessed with the Stitched Circle Tag Die, it is just perfect in my opinion! I finally broke down and purchased the Snowy Backdrop die and I used that with a mix of green distress inks and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls, I love the way it turned out! I cut six white pieces from Neena Solar White for the background and the back pieces for my message. I then cut two more for the snow from the same tag and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snow Borders.  I then used the Alpaca from Winter Alpaca, the bunnies from Snow Day and that bunny on a sled is Winter Bunny. Coloured them with Copics and used my White Jellyroller for added detail. Finished them of with Lawn Trimmings!

The lucky winner of this challenge will receive a $25.00 gift card from the fabulous Ellen Hutson on-line store!
