Felt Wine Tags: A Photo Tutorial

Hey!  It's Lizzy from the Facebook Inspiration Team.  Can you believe Christmas is tomorrow? Are you ready??  In case you need a small last minute gift for someone in your life, here's a quick gift idea for you:

No-Sew Felt Wine Tags

These are super easy (and very quick!) to make.  I think they would make a lovely hostess gift.  Here's how:

Supplies: Felt (at least 2 colors), Glossy Accents, scissors, hole punch, metal rings, dies, a die-cutting machine
For this project, I used Lawn Fawn's coordinating dies for A Birdy Told Me.  I thought the little circle speech bubble could pass for an ornament and the star die included in the set was the perfect little touch to go inside the tags.  I found the round metal rings in the jewelry section at Michaels.

Start by die cutting 6 tags of each color (I'd already made 1 complete red tag, so that's why you only see 4 red)

Die cut the star into 3 red tags and 3 white tags.

Now you should have 3 tags with stars cut out, 3 whole tags, and 3 stars for each color.

Start assembling by using a star from the opposite color and place it into the tag.
Use some glossy accents on a whole tag and glue the 2 sides together.
Use a whole punch and string the metal ring through.  And that's it!

These are SO easy to whip up.  Package the tags into a little box or bag and include a bottle of wine and you have an easy hostess gift in no time!

Thank you so much for stopping by!  From all of us at Lawnscaping, we hope you have a very merry Christmas!

  3. I love this idea. I'll "pin" it for next year's holiday project. I was thinking the tags would also be cute with alphabet letters cut out of felt for personal glasses for the guests.
