think happy thoughts

hey there! it's samantha m here, and i'm super excited to be on the blog with my first post for the lawnscaping facebook inspiration team!!
i made a new card for the current challenge which is all about paper piecing!! (perhaps my all time, favorite technique! i was actually telling my bestie the other day, if i was craft super hero, i would be 'the paper piecer!' ha ha!! what is your favorite technique? what would your super hero crafter name be?)

anyway, here's my card:

i stamped and fussy cut alllllll of those speech bubbles from 'a birdie told me' and made them look like one big speech bubble! i also outlined the inside of the speech bubbles with a very light grey copic.
the smiles were added by masking the cake images from the 'year three' stamp set (see below):

images on stamp block:

cover all areas of the stamp you DON'T want ink on, with washi tape:

stamp it all in the ink pad:

remove the washi tape:

and stamp!

so that's it! i love this card! i think it's super fun and happy and uplifting!

so go get your paper, scissors and lawn fawn stamps (of course!) and get to crafting! i can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!
enjoy!

  5. Adorable card! I would probably be the paper waster. Seems like a lot of paper/parts of projects messed up ends up in the trash can! Which might make me the time waster too! :)
