Combining Stamp Sets

Hi Everyone!  It's Lizzy from the Facebook Inspiration Team, and I'm so thrilled to be sharing a card with you on the Lawnscaping blog today.

It's no secret that we all love Lawn Fawn and the new products for CHA are so fun!  I've been loving all the winter and holiday stamp sets that are being released, so I felt inspired to create a winter-themed card to share with you today.

One of the best things about Lawn Fawn stamps, is the ability to combine lots of different sets.  All the sets work so well together, so combing is easy!  On this card, I used Winter Owl, Let It Snow, Making Frosty Friends, A Birdie Told Me, Cozy Christmas, and Sophie's Sentiments.

I knew I wanted to make a shaped card, so I used scallop and circle dies to create the card base.  I then stamped a tree line (Let It Snow) to create a subtle, snowy background and hand-cut a hill out of white cardstock.  The owl was colored with copics, fussy cut, and adhered to the card base.  Since our current challenge at Lawnscaping is about paper-piecing, I used the Dewey Decimal paper to paper-piece the owl's scarf and earmuffs (from Making Frosty Friends).  Lastly, I created a speech bubble (a Birdie Told Me) out of vellum and stamped/embossed the sentiment.  The sentiment is actually a combination of stamps from Cozy Christmas and Sophie's Sentiments.

Thanks for visiting today!  I hope you're inspired to get out your stamps and have fun combining different sets!
