i ruff you

Good morning, Roxanne here today! I created this cute little card today that I'd love to share with you.

Here is my project - a totally cute little card for that special someone!

For this card, I used a simple mossy colored card base. It's a linen paper, so it's already nice and textured! I then took a sheet of the green pattered paper from the 6x6 Snow Day Petite Paper Pack and cut it into strips. They're roughly 1" wide. I then glued them on an angle on the card base. I love when you can use a holiday paper on a non-holiday card! I thought it went perfectly with this card. 

For the image, I stamped the frame from the Say Cheese set with Memento, Tuxedo Black onto a white card stock. I then cut out the frame leaving a thing white border all the way around. I did this because I knew that I was going to be cutting out the other images and leaving a white border as well. This way, it all goes together :) 

I used the paw print from the Critters at the Dog Park set and stamped them in Versamagic, Sugarcane. It's a pretty, soft taupe color. Very subtle. I simply stuck Post-It notes over the border of the frame to make sure the paw prints didn't go over that border. 

I used the grass image from the same set with Radiant Neon in Electric Green. I stamped several rows of this and layered them up so the grass looked fuller. Who doesn't love full, lush grass??

I could not resist the French bulldog from the Critters at the Dog Park set either!! I love him. I colored him in brown tones with my Spectrum Noir Markers. I cut him out, leaving the thin white border around the edges. I then took the bow tie image and stamped that onto a piece of the blue polka dot paper from the 6x6 Let's Polka Petite Paper Pack. His little nose was colored in using a black Spica pen, so it's just a touch sparkly in person. Reminiscent of a wet dog nose!

The card still needed something else, so I grabbed the large tree from the Critters in the Burbs. 

I glued that down with some adhesive, hanging it over the edge of the frame, and I just cut the bottom of the tree to stop at the bottom of the inner frame. For the bulldog, I popped him up with some foam adhesive. 

The sentiment, i ruff you, was stamped in Memento Luxe, Love Letters. It's the perfect color for love!

Everything is Fun with You

Hey everyone, Samantha here with a fun fall themed card. It is officially autumn, and before we know it leaves will start changing into beautiful colors. I wanted to capture the joy many dogs have during this time of year when playing in piles of leaves. They have so much fun jumping into and running through the piles. I paired different Lawn Fawn pattern papers together. The tone on tone patterns make it really easy to mix and match.

PURR-fect Birthday using Goodie Bag Die

Hello everyone!  Kari here to share with you a way to embellish the awesome new Goodie Bag for a cute little birthday gift.  I also used the adorable kitty image from Spooktacular!  I adore this kitty probably as much as I do the goodie bag die!

I die cut my goodie bag out of some Mint CS from SSS, and then I trimmed down a piece of white CS to help build my scene.  I stamped my kitty images from Spooktacular, and did a little masking, so it looks like they are sitting close to each other.  I colored them in with some Copic Markers and if you happen to follow me on any social media like Instagram, you know I am a fur baby mama to two sweet kitty's Daisy and Katie, and I just had to color them similar to my babies :)  I also used some images and elements from Critter's in the Burbs, one of my all time favorite LF sets, and one of my first that I purchased.  I also die cut some Lucky Limeade CS using the Grassy Border Die.  Once I had my scene stamped, inked, die-cut and adhered, I assembled my goodie bag, and placed my focal panel onto the bag, and to finished it off, added some chevron ribbon :)

And, do I spy shimmer!?  Of course, Wink of Stella had to make an appearance as well!! *grin*

I hope I was able to give you some ideas on how to decorate your goodie bags!  If you don't have this die I HIGHLY recommend it!!  :)

Make a Scene!

Hello!!

Melissa here today with a non-Holiday card! What was I thinking? Well, every once in a while my eyes need a break from all the lovely Holiday festivities!

I recently bought a set of American Crafts Chromatix alcohol markers and I love them (like Copics but WAY cheaper)! I have all of the Critter sets but rarely use them because I couldn't figure out a way to color that I liked! Well, finally, I've made a scene!

This is a special card for a little 6 year old boy, Sebastian. He needs some happy cards so I thought this would cheer him up! He has a surgery coming up and some happy cards will hopefully help heal him faster. Or least help heal his little heart :)

A few scene making tips (other than jumping up and down screaming in the middle of the grocery store!):

--Use dimension! Foam adhesive is your friend! You can double up on foam to get additional layers.

--Make something to ground the Critter's on like a grassy hill or a snowy hill or a log, etc.

--Cluster elements together so it doesn't look like you just sneezed all your pretties onto the card.

--Add special touches with glitter, glossy accents, googly eyes (perfect for all the Critter sets!).
--If you can't/don't like to color, paper piece!
--Take a black marker to the edges of cut out pieces to hide any cutting imperfections and to really finish off the piece.
