Happy Birthday Card + Video

Hello!

It's Tracy here with a fun birthday card using numbers!  If you haven't seen the challenge this week, you can check it out here.  I also created a video showing you step by step on how I made this card.

Watch here || Watch on Youtube

Isn't that Distress Glitter fun?  A little messy, but I love the end result!  All of the patterned papers I used are from the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka 6x6 paper pad.  I die cut the banner and circle using the Stitched Party Banner dies.

I stamped the numbers from the Quinn's 123's stamp set and heat embossed them with Silver embossing powder.  I then filled them in with Glossy Accents and Peacock Feathers Distress Glitter.  The sentiment is from the #awesome stamp set.  I added two bows on top of the banner with Stormy Lawn Trimmings.

All of the supplies are listed in the description below my video on Youtube.  I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to make your own card using numbers!

Have a great day!

Halloween Shaker Card + Video

Hello!

I love to make shaker cards, so I thought the current challenge would be the perfect excuse to make one!  I used the Monster Mash stamp set along with patterned paper from the Into The Woods collection.  You can check out how to make your own shaker card in my video below!

I die cut the hexagons out of the patterned paper and glued acetate to the back.  I then added foam squares to the back and poured in my sequins.  The background is just a piece of purple card stock.

I colored in the "monsters" with my Copic markers and added a few sequins to the front of the card.  I can't wait to see all of your creations from the current challenge!

Have a great day!

Hello card + Video Tutorial

Hello!  It's Tracy here with a fun card using the Critters in the Arctic Stamp set and two Lawn Fawn dies.  The Critters sets are my favorite and work perfectly for the challenge theme this week!  Also, make sure to check out the video tutorial for this card below.

I used the Speech Bubble and Cole's ABC's dies along with the Let's Polka 6x6 paper pad to create the top part of the card.

I then stamped the moose and colored it in with Copic markers.  I added some clear sequins with Liquid Pearls in the center to complete my card.

I colored my embossing paste with a Distress Ink refill and used a Simon Says Stamp stencil to create the background.  The trees, car, and camper are from the Lawn Fawn Happy Trails stamp set.

I used the green polka dotted paper from the Let's Polka 6x6 paper pad and some Lawn Trimmings twine.

Layered Die-Cutting + Video Tutorial

Hello!

It's Tracy here with a card and video tutorial for you today!  I love the look of layered die-cuts, so I thought I would try it myself.  I wanted it to be the focus of the card, so I kept it simple with the Scripty Thanks die and one small stamped image.  I also used the color palette of the current challenge, so make sure to make your own card and enter it for a chance to win an awesome prize!

Watch here || Watch on Youtube

Fun and easy, right?  I love this color palette... it is so summery!
I die cut the "thanks" sentiment 6 times, 2 of each color.  I then glued each of them together with a liquid adhesive.

The bird is from the S'more Love stamp set and colored in with Copic markers.  I adhered it to the card using 3D foam squares.

You can see the dimension in the layered die-cut piece here.

Thank you so much for joining me here today!

Smile Crocodile Card using Lawn Fawn and Distress Products

Hello!

It's Tracy here with a fun card using Distress products!  I also created a video tutorial to go with this card.
You can watch the video here or on Youtube:

I used Distress ink on the large speech bubble to create the "sky."  I then painted in the clouds from the Sunny Skies stamp set. with Picket Fence Distress Stain.

The crocodile is from the Critters Down Under stamp set and paper pieced with patterned paper from the Into The Woods 6x6 paper pad.  I stamped the sentiment into a speech bubble from the A Birdie Told Me stamp set.

Have a great day!

Happy Easter Card

Hello!

It's Tracy here with some Easter card inspiration for you!  I did have a video to go with this card, but sadly my computer is not allowing me to edit it :(  I used the Happy Easter set from Lawn Fawn.

I heat embossed the flowers with white embossing powder and colored them in with Twinkling H2O's.  After finishing my card, I realized that I shouldn't have used white embossing powder and should have used green instead.  The cloud die cuts are from Memory Box and I placed vellum behind the open clouds.

I colored the bunny in with Copics and used a Fiskar's border punch for the grass.  I also used a Wink Of Stella Glitter pen on the white cloud.

Have a great day!

I used the Into the Woods stamp set and 6x6 paper pad.  I think it is supposed to be more for fall projects, but I like to use all of my supplies year round :)

Have A Whale Of A Time!

Good Morning!

It's Tracy here from the Facebook Inspiration Team here to share my Monochromatic card with you today!  I don't know about you, but making monochromatic cards is always a challenge for me.  It's hard to not add different colors!

I started with the Lawn Fawn Critters In The Sea stamp set to paper piece the whale and the waves.  I adhered my waves down to a white piece of card stock and then tucked my whale behind one of the waves so it looked like he was jumping out of the water.  I stamped my sentiment on the bottom and the water spout on the white card stock.

Don't forget to check out our challenge and enter your card!  You could win an awesome prize!

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

Introducing... The Facebook Inspiration Design Team

Hi everyone. Laurel here! As I mentioned in yesterday's post announcing our newest design team members, you guys all made it incredibly hard! So us Lawncaping gals put our heads together and decided to extend the Lawnscaping family! How you ask? By creating the Facebook Inspiration Design Team!!!!

These lovely ladies will be inspiring you with more Lawnscaping love over on our Facebook page every week with loads of projects! In addition, each one of these wonderfully talented ladies will be featured on the blog each month! So that is loads and loads of more inspiration to be found here AND on Facebook! If you don't follow us, please do! If you don't have Facebook, please join just to follow us! (He he, ok.... You don't have to do that).....

So, let me introduce you to our new Facebook Inspiration Design Team and a little bit about them in their own words..... Here we go...........

I am a wife to my high school sweetheart, and am a stay-at-home mom to our four rambunctious little kids.  I've been paper-crafting for about 15 years and love it to bits.  I love Jesus, cookies and Harry Potter, and living room dance parties with my kids.

Aloha from sunny Hawai! My name is Lizzy Criman and I live on the beautiful island of Oahu with my husband, dog, and two cats.   I’m a nurse practitioner by day (and evening, and sometimes night too), and, when I’m not out exploring my surrounds, you’ll find me stamping away.  My mom got me addicted in the summer of 2012 while my husband was away with the Army—and I was never quite able to kick the habit when he got back.  I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team, and hope you will follow along with my adventures at thishausofcards.blogspot.com

Hello! My name is Tracy and I am currently going to college for Graphic Design and working part-time at a local scrapbooking store.  I started scrapbooking when I was in high school and card-making about 3 years ago.  When I’m not crafting, I enjoy spending time with my family, rollerblading, playing tennis, and shopping.

Hi, my name is Samantha! I have always had a love for crafting, fine art, and design. When creating projects, I really love making scenes that tell a story by coloring stamped images and using fun embellishments and paper.

Hi! My name is Kari Webster and I live in Southern Missouri but I am originally from Central Arkansas.  I am happily married to my husband Chris for 6 years, and we are "mom and dad" to our two cats, Katie and Daisy :) By day, I work at our local hospital where I am the "Release of Information/Legal Correspondent" which basically means I am the one that patients, attorney's, insurance companies etc. come to me when they need medical records on a patient.   I've been crafting since August of 2009. It all started when I went to my first Stampin' Up workshop, and that is all it took!  Before too long, I took over my husband's computer room and turned into my craft room!!  (He didn't mind *grin*)  I absolutely love this hobby of paper crafting.  It is wonderful stress reliever for me!   I am super excited to have this opportunity to be on the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team!!  It is an honor to be among this group of ladies and their talent! I have loved Lawnscaping for a long time, and since I have been a participant, I always tried entering into a challenge, so to be a designer for them is beyond awesome for me!!  I hope to inspire you with my creations!!  You can come visit me at my blog at www.kwcarddesign.com

I am a SAHM with three sweet girls (3, 9 and 13). My fiancĂ© Mike is American and we live in Austria near Vienna. We do enjoy both worlds. Our furry baby is our cat Noah. Besides crafting I love to read, travel, enjoy coffee, MAC make-up, do a little gardening and just have fun!

Hi! I'm Lenny.  I'm an enthusiastic teacher. I teach French and my students are 12 - 14 years old. It isn't always easy, it can be stressy and I have a lot of school work,  but I always wanted to teach and I'm still loving it!! Whenever I have some free time, I wanna do something creative; it relaxes me!  Creative things that I love: scrapbooking, card making, floral arranging, baking, ...  I also love reading, traveling, gardening, going to the movies, ...  Really, really happy to be part of this Lawnscaping team!!  It's a crafty wish come true! :)  I love spending time with family and friends. Daydreaming about meeting some of my crafty friends in real life ...  I live in Belgium but my #1 favorite country is the USA!!
About 20 years ago, our school did an exchange with an American school and
I fell in love with that beautiful country ... I just love it over there! :)

Hi, I'm Samantha Mann and I couldn't be happier to be part of this team! My husband and I have lived all over the US, from Washington State to Florida, but we're currently in hot, humid, coastal South Carolina! We have two little boys (who I usually call my little menn)! I have always been in love with school supplies (ever since elementary school when i would save my nickels to buy cute pencils or erasers!) and that love just grew and developed into my crazy obsession (read: passion!) of paper crafting! I love making cards and even dabble with the occasional scrapbook layout! I tend to lean towards clean and simple design, but not always! I am all about learning new techniques from fellow crafters! I'm definitely quirky, and love to make playful, humorous sentiments for my cards (and layouts!)! I work full time for an advertising company and spend every other moment I can paper crafting, reading and enjoying the little moments in everyday family life.

Heading up this amazing extension to the family is DT Member/Social Media Coordinator Jenn Shurkus.

Woo hoo! How exciting is this?!? These wonderful ladies will begin to inspire us in July! So be sure to follow us on Facebook and check back here for their dedicated posts to the blog!!!!!

Oh, and how about a shout out to Jenn for redesigning the blog?!?  It looks incredible. Do I have an amazing team put together or what! :)
