Shake A Leg

Good morning! I have a cute little card today perfect for Thanksgiving and silly to boot.

We all know the saying shake a leg, so I made that literal. I love the little jar and come on, who doesn't enjoy the turkey legs? Isn't that always a fight among your guests at Thanksgiving?? Ha!

I kept the layout pretty clean and simple since I wanted the focus on the turkey legs in this card.

I hope you enjoyed this little card I created.  I had a fun time creating this.
Thanks for checking out my project!!

Thankful Note Cards

Good morning! It's Roxanne here with a Thanksgiving themed project for you today. I think I'll put these out on our placemats for our Thanksgiving morning breakfast (along with these cute little place cards I created in September as well). Something for each of us to complete for things that we are thankful for. I will use them within a mini album I'm creating for another project. It will be nice to look back to see what the boys were thankful for at their ages of 5 and 10!

I have listed all products at the end of the post. I'll explain my process briefly and include close up photos as well!

I made five cards for each of us with 4 different designs. I figured we could each choose one design and think of five things we are thankful for and write them down.

I cut the cards from a simple white cardstock down to 3"x4" and rounded all four corners. I then cut out 20 little craft circles using the largest circle in the Let's Bokeh die set. Inside those, I stamped with black ink the little turkey leg, corn, knife and fork, and pumpkin pie from the Happy Feast set and colored them in with my colored pencils.

I also cut out quite a few of the stitches leaves from various paper I had in my stash. I ran those through my Xyron and included a grouping of them in corners on the cards. I then glued down my colored cutie images on top of the leaves, and stamped the sentiment "I'm so thankful" on each card in brown ink.

They needed something else, so I went back in with various little bits from the sets listed below and added in fun elements to the cards with my Scattered Straw (what's a more perfect fall color than that??) in no particular order and just had fun with it!

I love how they turned out.

What are YOU thankful for? I hope all those celebrating have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.

Give Thanks Card with Heidi

Happy Monday, Heidi here, I hope you had a great weekend, I am sharing with you today a very simple Thanksgiving card to put you on the Thanksgiving mood this week. I know lots of us are really busy with Thanksgiving preparations and other holiday related tasks, so I thought you might appreciated a quick card, let me show you the card and will tell you a little bit more about it.

For this card, I used the "Thankful Mice" mini stamp set by Lawn Fawn the "Thanks scripty die" and the "Polaroid Lawn cuts" by Lawn Fawn. I applied a soft shading on the card panel through a stencil, I also apply some soft shading to the Polaroid frame.

I colored the little mice using Copic Markers, and I used some orange dotted paper from the "Let's Polka in the Dark petite pad," I adhered all the elements to the card using foam and liquid adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed this card, I wish you a lovely and happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Place Cards

Good morning, Roxanne here today with a cute project for your Thanksgiving table.

I usually have something Thanksgiving themed gracing our kitchen table every year, and I wanted to make something to go with that for Thanksgiving morning breakfast. Since we go see family every year for dinner, I wanted to have something cute for our table ready to put out. It's simple, cute and totally easy to do.

I also vowed to work ahead this holiday season, and this is a quick project you can do in no time at all to be prepared! If you're hosting dinner for this holiday, you can definitely make more of these to put at each place setting. It will make your guests feel special that you went a little extra special for those fun holiday touches.

When I saw this set, I knew I had to have it. The little details it came with for each holiday were so perfect!! I just love it. This is the Lawn Fawn Holiday Party Animal set. Who doesn't want to dress up a little raccoon??

I started out actually with a pre-scored card (it was a bulk package I bought at my local craft store that has pre-scored cards and envelopes) that I simple folded on the score and cut in half. I got 2 place cards out of the card. Just a little tip if you buy any bulk packages or boxes of cards like this, you can make them into place cards, gift tags, anything you want!

After I scored it, I inked up the little wishbone that comes with this set with Versamark ink and stamped a random pattern on each one. I do have a set of 4 of them that you'll see in just a bit; they're all the same and you can certainly make each one different if you'd like!

I then diecut four of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Labels in a maize colored cardstock from my stash. The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Happy Feast set. I actually stamped them each separately onto the diecut label since I couldn't place the sentiment stamps close enough together on the block to fit. They are stamped in Versafine in Onyx Black just because it's a really rich black color and I wanted it to pop!

Now onto the raccoon. I stamped him four times, as well as the pie (which I had to turn into a pumpkin pie; what else is better on Thanksgiving?!) and the pilgrim hat, onto some quality coloring cardstock and colored each of them in with my Spectrum Noir Markers. If you're interested in the colors I used, they were OR1, OR2, TN2, TN5, TN7, DR7, EB2, EB3, EB5, CG1, CG3, CG5, and the blender. After I colored them in, I fussy cut them out. You can definitely purchase the coordinating dies for the set which would make things much quicker for you!

After I cut them all out, I applied foam adhesive to everything and assembled the raccoon and stuck him onto the card base. Tip here - I worked a little backwards. I glued down the sentiment label first and then positioned my raccoon.

Here are all four place cards with a couple different angles so you can see all the details!

There you have it. My little Thanksgiving place cards are done. I keep them generic (you can put your family members' names on there if you'd like) so if I wanted to, I could use them year after year, or I could put one up with the decorations another year. You could also reuse them the next year and cut off at the fold to create a really easy card for friends or family! Just adhere your cut place card panel to a piece of colored cardstock and there you go!

Thanks for stopping by :) Happy crafting!

Thanksgiving table decoration . . .

Hi Friends

It's Lenny from the Facebook Inspiration Team here today.

I would like to share a little project that I made ...
It's a Thanksgiving table decoration thingy.
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Belgium but I like the idea behind
that festive day... Being thankful ... Taking a minute and thinking
about all the things you can be grateful for ... beautiful ...

I used a little jar and decorated it with the Stitched leaves, colored with
lots of Distress Inks.
Inside the jar is a small paper ... everybody can write down the
things he/she is thankful for.
I used some IKEA pencils, decorated with some Washi tape.

Here are some photos . . .

A little list inside ...
what are you thankful for?
You can write it down here ...  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!!

So Thankful...

Hello Bloggers!

Melissa here with my first special project for Lawnscaping! Thanksgiving is fast approaching and I love the idea of creating warm and cozy home decor projects to make the holiday extra special.

I've made a "So Thankful" jar with the idea that family and friends could jot down something they are thankful for on a tag and drop that tag in a cute jar. If you do this each year, you'll have a time capsule of family memories.

You'll need some Mod Podge, a glass jar, paper and stamps. For one jar I even experimented with leaves from my backyard! The jury is still out on how the leaves will hold up, but for now they are pretty!

Take a look!

Above: Get out your circle punch and get punchy! I used Lawn Fawn Dewey Decimal collection pack. Date is stamped with Lawn Fawn Smitty's ABC's. TIP: since this is thick paper, wet the punched circles with water to help make the paper more pliable before adhering with Mod Podge.

Above: The leaves from my backyard! Cool texture, but like I said, I have no idea how these will hold up. Tag is stamped with Lawn Fawn So Thankful and Harvest Season. TIP: to get a cool bleed/blend look, take your water color brush and just trace over the stamped leaf! Also, use a hot glue gun for the trimmings around the rim.

Above: The tag in the background is stamped with Lawn Fawn Schoolhouse Backdrops. This is where people would write what they are thankful for. Then just drop the tags into the jar for a memory time capsule!

Thanks for stopping by! Please fell free to ask questions! Have a great week!
